* Iceland - WikiLeaks: I think is totally unfair this association, it had been much better using the Eyjafjalla volcano, that which ruined the holidays of the half of Europeans on last year. Anyway, I believe that the WikiLeaks tag comes from the fact that the Government of Iceland supported Julian Assange when he started to have severe troubles with the big guys. For breaking this stereotype, I share this both weird and funny video which has the aim of promoting the tourism in that country (http://vimeo.com/12236680).
* East - Commies: There had been a long period of commies, Cold War and so, for keeping the whole East of Europe as "red" zone. I share the author's impression, maybe because of I have been never to those countries.
* Greece - Democracy: This stereotype is undoubtly due to the Ancient Greek philosophers, parents of the nowadays democracy. When I think in this country, my mind brings me the picture of the Athens Parthenon, so I believe this is a good stereotype, that lead us to remember the glory days of the Ancient Greece.
* Switzerland - Cash: It is said that the rich people often carry their money to this beautiful country. And it is said too that "When the river sounds, water carries" (spanish here :) So, I think it could be a fact that they earn benefits of leaving their money there. I have reached the conclusion that the thing of the expensive watches and purple cows is just a cover.
* Poland & Neighbours - Buffer Zone: I have doubts about this stereotype, but I believe that "buffer" means "neutral" in this context. It could be a tag labeled since the Second World War where sovietics where confronted with the german fuhrer, while these countries located in the middle kept neutral (before the german invasion).
I do not want to comment the smellness of the french nor the porn ability of the germans, so that's all!
